This is the first annual meeting for the Wallenberg Initiatives in Forest Sciences - WIFORCE.

The 2-day meeting takes place at Elite Hotel Mimer, downtown Umeå for invited WIFORCE participants only. More information on WIFORCE and the finalized programme (by the end of December) can be found at www.slu.se/en/wiforce 


The WIFORCE Initiative consists of:

WIFORCE Forest Biology and Biotechnology & newly recruited WIFORCE group leaders

WIFORCE Future Silviculture & newly recruited WIFORCE group leaders

WIFORCE Arena and Computing Centre


The Wallenberg Initiatives in Forest Research (WIFORCE) is a basic science research programme that aims to deepen our understanding of the processes behind forest growth, survival, and biodiversity. The knowledge can contribute to sustainable forestry, new management practices, and climate-adapted trees.
