UPSC is involved in three Master’s programmes: Master’s Programme in Plant Biology for Sustainable Production with specialization on Forest Biotechnology at the Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences (SLU), the Master's Programmes in Plant and Forest Biotechnology and the Master's Programme in Bioinformatics, both at Umeå University.

Plants are of great importance, not only as food and animal feed but they also provide building materials, fibres and pharmaceutical drugs. Knowledge about how plants work, their genetics and interaction with the environment is essential for durable plant production and sustainable development. At UPSC we are involved in teaching three MSc programmes, two from Umeå University and one from the Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences. These Master’s programs give specialized competence and skills to recognize, understand and find solutions for sustainable production in agriculture and forestry as well as in bioinformatics.
