UPSC researchers participate in a wide range of national and international research initiatives, from large strategic programmes and research centres to collaborative projects, networks and shared infrastructures. These collaborations bring together researchers, public organisations and industry partners to address challenges in plant biology, forestry, biotechnology, food production and sustainability.
The examples below highlight major strategic programmes, research initiatives, collaborative projects, and research networks in which UPSC researchers are involved.
Information about UPSC's formal institutional partnerships is available on the International Partnerships page.
Strategic Research Programmes
UPSC plays a central role in the Wallenberg Initiatives in Forest Research (WIFORCE), a long-term strategic research programme that extends beyond UPSC and includes additional research environments at SLU and Umeå University.
Strategic Research Initiatives
UPSC researchers also participate in several national and international strategic research initiatives.
Collaborative Research Projects
UPSC researchers participate in collaborative projects funded by national and international research organisations and foundations. These projects bring together expertise from academia, industry and other sectors to address challenges in plant biology, forestry, biotechnology and sustainable food production.
