The European Research Council (ERC) Synergy Grant supports ambitious collaborative research projects that bring together complementary expertise to address major scientific challenges. UPSC researchers currently participate in two ERC Synergy Grant projects.
RESYDE - Re-engineering symmestry breaking in development and evolution
RESYDE aims to unravel the complex processes underlying symmetry breaking in plant development using flowers as a model system. By combining live imaging, multi-omics and predictive modelling, the project seeks to understand how symmetry is established and modified during development and evolution.

STARMORPH - Unravelling Spatio-temporal Auxin intracellular Redistribution for Morphogenesis
STARMORPH investigates how the plant hormone auxin and mechanical forces interact to shape plant organs during development. The project introduces the concept of an "auxin signature" to better understand how cellular responses are coordinated across tissues and developmental stages.
