NorthFood is one of Umeå University's Prioritised Research Areas and brings together researchers from plant science, social sciences and other disciplines to support sustainable food production and consumption in the European Arctic (subarctic). The initiative serves as a hub for research, innovation and collaboration, with the aim of accelerating the transition towards more sustainable food systems.
